Recount Notes

I spoke to the press officer at DC Board of Elections about the recount in ANC2C02. Some notes:

Six ANC races are to be recounted.
The recounts will happen at the earliest next week.
Election officers will look carefully for voter intent on paper ballots.
Electronic numbers can not change.
Only the candidates or a representative are allowed in the room during the recount.

Yt, I was just about to post this on here, but you beat me to it. What's even more interesting is that we both received meeting agendas. I thought that meeting agendas were reserved for those select (and dwindling) members of the "Frequent LT Voter" program.

InDaHood Shuffle: Reliable sources say, LT is resigning as chair to hold elections to install Doris and Barbara as chair/secretary and vice chair/treasurer. Under the rules, if the commission cannot elect officers with a majority vote, then the officers from the previous term will carry over to the next term. Since LT is expecting a split vote when the new commission is formed, this is his last ditch attempt to control the commission via his marionettes if fanal ballot recounts oust him for good.

Motherfucker! But think of the hilarious meetings...I think I am going to make up an ANC bingo card for folks. Maybe we will hold an over/under bet as to the time they both fall asleep during the meetings.
