5th & M shooting
Does anybody have any information about the shooting yesterday afternoon? That's two shootings in our area in just as many weeks! Both events are frightening, but the 1/9 shooting especially so because it's on the way to and from the Metro for so many people.

i saw the shooting, it was at like 4:40 or so between 5&6th on m street. all i saw was two kids on a bike, one of them shooting (near the liquor store at 5&m). to me it looked like the first shots were into the air, but I didn't see the later shots. don't know if anyone else was firing but i heard there was damage to a vehicle in the washington apartments parking lot closest to m street.

See the post and comments on Fifth and Oh--including a couple of other eye witness accounts. According to Inspector Burke, no one was hit, and two people were detained (don't know if they were charged).
